· To provide your vehicle with an MOT
· To provide your vehicle with servicing, repairs or any other Service.
Our lawful basis for processing your personal data is due to it being necessary for the performance of providing you with a quotation, MOT, servicing, repairs and any other Services to your vehicle.
If a quote is accepted, and we carry out work to your vehicle, we will keep your details on file for the purpose of reminders for your annual Service and MOT (we will ask your consent to these reminders via our contact form on the website, or over the phone when you proceed with your quote. You can withdraw your consent at any time). Your details will also be kept on file for HMRC Audits on Gentlemec Motor Services Ltd accounting.
Marketing Communications
We may use your personal data to send you periodic communications (by email or direct mail) about future product launches.
We have a legitimate interest in processing your personal data for marketing purposes. This means we do not usually need your consent to send you information about features, products, services, event and special offers. We keep your personal information outlined in 'Collecting your personal data' for a period of 6 years. We will then dispose of your information by removing and permanently deleting it from our systems.
Sharing your personal information
We will never share your name, address and contact details with anyone other than employees of Gentlemec Motor Services Ltd or HMRC for the purpose of auditing our accounts.
We may however share your Vehicle Make and Model and Vehicle Registration Number with third-party providers to provide us with quotations and/or parts.
For the purpose of MOT’s your Vehicle Make, Model and Mileage will be shared with the MOT Testing Centre and the Ministry Of Transport.
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the lawful bases we rely on for processing this information are:

(b) We have a legitimate interest.
